Key Responsibilities
  • Managing or assisting with projects including but not limited to weekly and month-end/year-end close processes, management reporting and preparing reconciliations 
  • Recording fixed assets and depreciation 
  • Calculating and reporting indirect taxes 
  • Helping clients prepare cash flow and or financial projections 
  • Assisting clients with payroll processing and 1099 preparation 
  • Troubleshooting client issues as they arise 
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting 
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with a history of progressive accounting or strong internal accounting / bookkeeping experience is required 
  • Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop or Online and Excel 
  • Hands-on experience with month-end accounting processes and management reporting preparation 
  • Some experience with construction accounting is highly preferred (job schedules, percentage of completion revenue recognition, etc.) 
  • Any experience with payroll processing that is related tax compliance is a plus 
  • Exposure using ProSystems Fx Engagement software is a plus 
  • Prior experience servicing clients in a professional services environment is a plus. 
  • Ability to travel to client locations within the Atlanta area (< 10%) 
  • Exceptional and proactive communicator (verbal & written)
