Job description

Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager for a consulting engagement. This role will focus on month-end close processes, financial reporting, and SOX testing. The position offers a chance to contribute significantly to financial operations with the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time role.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage end-to-end financial processes, including recording journal entries and performing reconciliations.
  • Conduct and review balance sheet account reconciliations, addressing and resolving discrepancies.
  • Provide analytical reviews and fluctuation analyses to support periodic financial activities.
  • Identify internal control gaps and implement necessary controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on month end close
  • Minimum of 2 years of public accounting
  • SOX testing
  • Have been through a system implementation


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
