Job description

Senior Accountant, Revenue - HYBRID

A growing client within the distribution industry is hiring a Senior Accountant with a focus in Revenue. This individual will be responsible for supporting the revenue and AR processes. This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of revenue cycles, data transformation, and ERP system navigation.

Responsibilities
  • Own the full-cycle sales invoicing close process and related balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review completeness and accuracy of supplier files and sales invoice uploads into Business Central
  • Coordinate transformation of emailed files and Alteryx outputs into upload templates
  • Approve and troubleshoot sales invoice uploads
  • Process cash receipts and perform monthly AR and cash reconciliations
  • Partner with other teams to align inputs to the revenue accrual model
  • Support monthly revenue accrual process
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with US GAAP
  • Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions in partnership with IT
  • Support revenue reporting, audit preparation, and resolution of audit findings or discrepancies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong focus on revenue and AR
  • Working knowledge of revenue recognition and AR processes
  • Experience with data transformation and invoice uploads into ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset
