Job description

We are seeking a strong Backend Software Engineer to maintain and extend the server-side systems powering our multi-tenant SaaS talent intelligence platform. The platform is built on multiple .NET 6 Web APIs, shared core services, and Azure Functions apps, all backed by a multi-schema Azure SQL Database.

You will work within a Clean Architecture codebase using CQRS patterns, building and maintaining RESTful APIs, background processing services, and integrations with external systems (SendGrid, HelloSign, Azure Search, Azure Service Bus). This role requires deep C#/.NET expertise and the ability to work across the full backend stack from API endpoints to database queries to event-driven processing.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional experience with C# and .NET (Core/.NET 6+)
  • Strong experience building RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core
  • Solid understanding of Clean Architecture, CQRS, and domain-driven design patterns
  • Experience with Entity Framework Core or similar ORM for SQL Server / Azure SQL
  • Experience writing and optimizing T‑SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Familiarity with Azure Functions or similar serverless computing platforms
  • Experience with message-based architectures (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or similar)
  • Understanding of multi‑tenant SaaS application design and data isolation strategies
  • Experience writing unit tests and integration tests in .NET (xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest)
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and extend multiple ASP.NET Core Web APIs serving talent management, business operations, assessment, and external integration needs
  • Develop and maintain features across the CQRS architecture with separate command/query handlers, domain models, and application services
  • Build and maintain Azure Functions for background processing including email delivery, e‑signature workflows, search sync, event publishing, data warehouse ETL, report generation, and third‑party integrations
  • Work with a multi‑schema Azure SQL Database to write performant queries, stored procedures, and maintain data integrity
  • Implement and maintain the multi‑tenant architecture with company‑based data isolation and role‑based access control
  • Develop and maintain core shared services
  • Build and maintain integration capabilities with external systems via webhooks and REST APIs
  • Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests for all backend components
  • Implement event‑driven patterns using Azure Service Bus topics, queues, and Durable Functions for reliable workflow orchestration
  • Ensure data security and compliance including audit trails, GDPR considerations, and proper handling of sensitive assessment data
  • Optimize API performance through caching (Redis), query optimization, and efficient data access patterns
  • Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing
