Job Summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Semiconductor Software Engineer with 10+ years of industry experience to design, develop, and optimize software, firmware, and automation solutions supporting semiconductor design, verification, manufacturing, and post-silicon validation. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in C/C++, Python, EDA tools, hardware-software integration, and software architecture, with a proven track record of delivering scalable solutions for complex semiconductor platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance software solutions for semiconductor design, verification, and validation workflows.
  • Architect and implement firmware, device drivers, and low-level software for advanced silicon platforms.
  • Develop scalable automation frameworks and infrastructure for EDA tools, build systems, and compute environments.
  • Design and enhance post-silicon validation, debugging, characterization, and data analysis tools.
  • Optimize software performance, reliability, and scalability across multicore, embedded, and distributed computing environments.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, ASIC, FPGA, verification, and manufacturing engineering teams to enable successful silicon bring-up and production.
  • Lead technical design discussions, conduct code reviews, and establish software development best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, methodologies, and tools to improve engineering productivity and product quality.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, design specifications, and development guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience in semiconductor or embedded systems environments.
  • Expert-level programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
  • Extensive experience with EDA tools, ASIC/SoC verification, silicon bring-up, or post-silicon validation.
  • Strong understanding of hardware-software integration, embedded systems, debugging techniques, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting, automation frameworks, Linux development environments, and HPC or cloud-based compute infrastructure.
  • Experience with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SystemVerilog, UVM, Verilog, or VHDL.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native EDA workflows, distributed computing, and AI/ML applications in semiconductor design.
  • Experience with FPGA development, embedded Linux, or real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Prior experience leading engineering teams or driving large-scale technical initiatives.
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
