The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within the plant, as well as supporting overall facility and equipment maintenance. This role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical equipment through preventative and corrective maintenance practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as required)

  Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.

  Inspect electrical components such as transformers, motors, wiring, and control panels for defects.

  Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in compliance with applicable codes.

  Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to reduce downtime.

  Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.

  Test electrical systems and continuity using testing devices (multimeters, etc.).

  Repair or replace defective electrical parts and components.

  Assist with general maintenance activities as needed (mechanical repairs, facility upkeep).

  Occasionally operate a forklift (training/certification required).

  Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.

  Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  Report to work as scheduled and respond to emergency maintenance needs when required.

  Comply with company Code of Conduct and safety policies.
