Job description

WORLD WIDE PROFESSIONAL SOLUTIONS is a project solutions organization committed to implementing lean constructions, collaborative contracting, and execution approaches to enable breakthroughs in performance.

We are currently seeking an Electrical QAR -  QA/QC Representative to join our team on a high-tech construction program located in Phoenix, AZ. This individual will lead the development of the electrical and controls quality program and be responsible for managing its execution throughout the project.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Electrical QAR is primarily responsible for establishing and implementing the Quality Management Plan for electrical power, low voltage, instrumentation, and controls systems. This includes defining quality processes, setting up documentation workflows, and ensuring contractor adherence to all inspection and testing requirements. In addition to plan development, this role plays a key part in ongoing quality oversight, issue resolution, document tracking, and field coordination. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, field-experienced, and capable of maintaining accountability across multiple stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, document, and maintain the QA/QC Plan for all electrical, instrumentation, and control system scopes.
  • Define inspection protocols, hold points, test verification procedures, and turnover documentation requirements.
  • Lead coordination with subcontractors to align Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) with project specifications and quality expectations.
  • Establish and manage a structured quality documentation system to track redlines, inspection reports, test records, non-conformance logs, and punchlist status.
  • Coordinate with the document control team to ensure electrical QA documents are properly filed and version-controlled in the designated PMIS (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud).
  • Review electrical and controls submittals, installation procedures, and as-built documentation for completeness and compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate contractor QA practices related to conduit, cabling, wire pulls, terminations, bonding, panel installations, and instrumentation.
  • Track testing, inspections, and system energization readiness in partnership with commissioning and startup teams.
  • Support and participate in field walkdowns, pre-functional inspections, and system turnovers.
  • Provide training, clarification, and ongoing guidance to contractors and internal stakeholders on QA/QC expectations.
  • Identify gaps or issues in quality execution and escalate persistent noncompliance to project leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical QA/QC roles on large-scale industrial or semiconductor projects.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing quality management plans for electrical and low-voltage systems.
  • Strong familiarity with electrical codes and standards including NEC, NFPA 70/70E, UL, and project-specific testing protocols.
  • Experience in field installation QA for electrical equipment, wiring, terminations, instrumentation, and controls.
  • Comfortable interpreting and working from redlines, one-line diagrams, P&IDs, and control schematics.
  • Proficient in QA tracking and documentation platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, or Bluebeam.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clear lines of communication with project management and subcontractor teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to enforce structured quality documentation and reporting processes.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Electrical QA/QC certifications, OSHA 30, and NFPA 70E training preferred.
  • Familiarity with commissioning support and system turnover documentation is a plus.
