Semi-Driver

Become One Of Our Seasonal Semi Drivers: Here at Lakeside Foods, our CDL Driver team is a valued part of our field operations, ensuring the product is delivered to the plant in a safe and efficient manner. If you possess a valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record who enjoys working outdoors during the summer months, we want to talk with you!

What You'll Do:

  • Harvest Season (May-October)
  • Perform a thorough inspection of the yard tractor and/or semi-tractor and record on daily log.
  • Take empty trailers to the field and get them loaded and then return with full trailers of raw production to the plant.
  • Weigh and scale out full and empty raw product trailers.
  • Drive in accordance with all traffic regulations.
  • Back trailer into truck dump as needed
  • Must be able to load/unload trailers properly as needed.
  • Maintain semi-tractor and trailers in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
  • Notify supervisor immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Lakeside Management.

What You'll Bring:

  • Must possess a valid Class A CDL license with the required current medical card
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Must be registered in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearing House
  • Must pass a pre-employment DOT Drug Screening
  • Drivers are subject to random drug testing per FMCSA and DOT requirements
  • Learn and follow the approved safe practices and procedures which apply to position
  • Become familiar with, observe and follow all Lakeside Foods' rules and established policies for Safety, Health and Security
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to accurately fill out routine reports, scale tickets and correspondence.
  • Positive attitude, Strong work ethic and Safety mindset
