Summary of Role

AdCellerant is searching for an experienced Manager of Paid Search. The search team is responsible for managing Small to Medium Business (SMB) advertisers through PPC and mobile search. The ideal candidate for this position must have 3-4 years of prior paid search experience specifically in Google Ads, be data-driven, and have proven success in building and managing numerous paid search accounts.

As part of our Search Engine Marketing Team, you will create and manage new campaigns in Google Ads, conduct bid management and optimization, prepare reports, keywords, and ad copy in support of advertiser goals. Confidence, accountability, and an action-oriented attitude and habits are keys to success.

As one of the leaders of the Search Team you will manage the team, support and report on their KPIโ€™s, coach, mentor, and train new team members, and provide executive insight into the department for the rest of the company. Confidence, accountability, and an action-oriented attitude and habits are keys to success. Someone with excellent communication, leadership skills, and the ability to grow individually will be a successful leader for the team.

Responsibilities

SEM

  • Manage SEM campaigns to maintain practical experience and direct knowledge of all platform workings
  • Develop keyword lists and ad copy for search campaigns
  • Create and manage new paid search campaigns in Google Ads and/or Bing Ads
  • QA campaigns before launching
  • Make campaign and keyword optimization changes under the direction of Search Marketing Manager
  • Create campaign reports
  • Budget stewardship to ensure campaigns are managed efficiently and target CPLs are achieved
  • Keyword Research
  • Competitive Analysis
  • Recommending changes in methods to increase traffic to websites or achieve advertisers goals
  • Other duties as needed

Manager

  • Manage a team of campaign managers on the SEM team, including ongoing monitoring towards individual and team KPI goals
  • Ensure all team members are effectively managing their individual volume of campaigns.
  • Oversee communication, work assignments, and overall team well-being
  • Work closely with the Director of Search to stay up to date with the ongoing evolutions on leveraged platforms and provide recommendations on adoption and/or changes to campaign setup, optimizations and processes
  • Assist the Director of Search with departmental projects asked of the Search team
  • Maintain a department-wide adherence to AdCellerant business rules including turnaround times, communication requirements, and best practices
  • Maintain a consistent rapport with team members, management, ownership, and stakeholders with regard to team capacity, performance, team member well-being, and strategy. This includes ongoing oversight of management dashboards and reports
  • Pull weekly KPIs, facilitate bi-weekly 1:1s with individual team members
  • Work with Search team members to grow their skillsets, progress their careers, and increase the overall expertise of the team
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service from all members of the department.
  • Any/all other tasks as assigned by upper management
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of Google, Bing, Call Tracking Metrics, Ticket Communication, ui.marketing/internal tools, and Google Analytics. This includes training the team, advising the company, creating processes and documentation, and monitoring adherence to best practices
  • Gather requirements for product discovery and future enhancements
Requirements
  • Successful candidates will possess a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
  • 3-5 years building and managing paid search accounts on Google and Bing
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team is preferred
  • Google Ads Certified
  • Well versed of HTML and CSS
  • Some programming background is preferred
  • Experience with agile product management
  • Expertise in Google Analytics or other third-party analytics and optimization tools.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills, demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, and show strong attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
  • Candidates must have the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Prior experience with PPC management platforms
  • Agency experience or experience working with multiple direct response advertiser
Location Information

This role is preferred to be located near our Denver, CO office, with hybrid work from home flexibility.

Team members must live and work in the United States* (*territories excluded), and have access to reliable, high-speed internet.

Compensation

Compensation for this role is a combination of salary and bonuses, targeting a total annual compensation range of $115,000 โ€“ $120. The base salary range is $75,000 โ€“ $85,000 annually, depending on experience. The bonus structure will be tied to achievement of revenue & retention targets for a select group of advertisers
