DELIVERY DRIVER/TRUCK DRIVER (Class A License - Manual Transmission/No Restrictions)
(SHIPPING/RECEIVING)

(Selma, CA)
Location: 7736 E. Springfield Ave., Selma, CA 93662
Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (hours may vary due to business needs)
Position: Hourly
Salary: $21 - $22 per hour
Payroll: Bi-Weekly
Note: Must be at least 25 years of age to safely operate company trucks

Job Summary
Responsible for the safe, courteous, and timely delivery of high-quality products to customers. This position requires a valid Class A CDL, the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles, and a minimum age of 25 to ensure safe operation of all company trucks. The role also ensures the safety and security of the loading and unloading process while performing duties that support the direct labor operations of the Shipping and Receiving Department.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
  • Drive and operate company truck.
  • Must be able to drive and operate vehicles with manual transmission.
  • Follow instructions and locate and read location and road maps.
  • Pre-inspect company truck and prepare and secure loads for transit.
  • Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver as instructed.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials.
  • Secure cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers.
  • Inspect trailers before and after trips and record any defects found.
  • Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
  • Maintain driver logs and working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations (including DOT rules).
  • Follow all applicable traffic laws and DOT regulations.
  • Drive long distances when required, maintaining safe driving practices at all times.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues immediately to the department and management.
  • Keep trucks and associated equipment clean and in good working order.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, traffic laws, DOT regulations, and submit to post-offer, pre-employment, and random drug and alcohol testing as required.
  • Perform any and all other job-related tasks assigned by the direct supervisor and/or management.

Qualifications and Skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of professional driving experience, preferably with Class A vehicles.
  • Valid CDL - Class A required. (Manual Transmission/No Restrictions)
  • Must be at least 25 years of age to safely operate company trucks.
  • Must be experienced in operating vehicles with manual transmission.
  • Clean driving record (current DMV record required upon applying)
  • Must comply with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally operates in a loud noise environment. The position may work near moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and tools. This position regularly works in outside weather conditions.
Personal Protective Equipment and Safety
The employee must wear approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, and wear a safety seat belt at all times.
