To thrive as a Self Employed Teacher, you need expertise in your subject area, teaching credentials (such as a degree or certification), and experience in lesson planning and instruction. Familiarity with digital learning platforms, video conferencing tools, and online classroom management systems is typically required. Strong communication, organization, and self-motivation help you attract students, build rapport, and manage your own business. Additionally, using scheduling and invoicing software can streamline administrative tasks, allowing more time for teaching. Over time, developing a reputation for quality instruction and collecting testimonials can lead to increased word-of-mouth referrals and a more stable client base.
