Job description

Maintenance Tech (Part-Time, 24–32 hrs/week) – Flexible Schedule

Are you a self-starter who likes variety, works hard, and takes pride in finished spaces? If so, this may be the role for you.

Hours: 24–32 hours/week (flexible scheduling)


Work type: Multiple jobs and locations (you’ll rarely be in the same place all week)

What you'll actually be doing

You'll be working alongside a remodeler, a general contractor, and a home inspector — three different skill sets, three different ways of looking at a house. We train on the job, so you don't need to walk in knowing all of it. You do need to walk in ready to learn.

The work:

  • Drywall repair and finishing, patching, taping, mudding, sanding.
  • Painting, prep, cut-in, rolling, edges that don't look like a five-year-old did them.
  • Light carpentry.  "Finish the room" stuff like trim, doors, and hardware 
  • Finishing punch lists instead of leaving things half done.
  • Some light electrical. General handy work and keeping a jobsite from looking like a tornado went through it.

And on the inspection side, you'll help with blower door tests and sewer scopes — setting up equipment, moving tools, testing outlets, opening panels, measuring. Not glamorous, but necessary.

What we need from you

Your own vehicle to get to job sites.  You'll show up reliably. Work independently without someone standing over your shoulder. You'll need a valid driver's license.  And you're able to adapt to different job sites throughout the day. A smartphone, because our job assignments and time tracking run on an app.  And you can talk to a client or a teammate like a professional, not like you're annoyed to be there.

Experience with basement or bathroom remodels, or finishing out a room start to end.
