Job description

Overview:
We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for direct hire in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will engineer and design facility power distribution systems, grounding, lighting equipment and construction specifications and hazardous area classifications in some of the most complex industrial facilities on the planet.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
This is a Direct Hire position
This position requires a Professional Engineer License (PE)
This position can work a Hybrid schedule in Conshohocken, PA (2 days a week)
Responsibilities:
- Design medium and low voltage power distribution systems, emergency generation, lighting and hazardous classified areas at life science style facilities including labs buildings, controlled environment storage and pilot plant production buildings
- Perform calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications
- Directing activities to ensure that construction, installation and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards and customer requirements
- Maintaining effective communication with project team members and with the customer
- Using engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
- Performing tier reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
- A Professional Engineer License (PE)
- Power system modeling experience using SKM Power Tools, ETAP or similar modeling software
- Experience with power distribution systems and microgrids, power generation, high or medium voltage substations
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, CADWorx or NavisWorks is highly preferred
