Job description

Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners at a vibrant 5th/6th grade school with a dynamic special education program. Here, you'll find an energetic team of educators led by a principal who is deeply rooted in special education. This contract position places you in a close-knit school community of about 100 students, with a caseload of approximately 22 children identified with mild to moderate specific learning disabilities—primarily in math and literacy. You'll work collaboratively alongside a full-time interventionist and an SEL counselor to design and implement targeted, impactful instruction.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with elementary or middle-grade students with mild to moderate SLDs
  • Strong background in math and literacy interventions
  • Ability to develop, monitor, and modify IEPs
  • Collaborative approach with staff, families, and support personnel
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
