What You'll Do:
Nutrien Ag Solutions is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Bulk Seed Technician to join our seed production team in Ralls, Texas. This position plays a critical role in receiving, storing, maintaining, and transporting hybrid grain sorghum seed while ensuring product quality, purity, and proper storage conditions. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient operation.
- Receive and unload seed trucks during harvest operations.
- Monitor seed quality by checking moisture and temperature levels on a regular basis.
- Collect and evaluate bin samples and monitor stored seed for insect activity.
- Operate aeration systems and fans to maintain proper storage conditions.
- Transport seed to the processing facility as needed.
- Clean trucks, augers, belts, and other equipment between varieties to ensure seed purity.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintain equipment in safe working conditions.
- Support a strong safety culture by following all company safety policies and participating in daily safety meetings.
- Maintain bulk storage yards, including housekeeping and weed control activities.
- Assist other departments and operations as needed.
What You'll Bring:
Required
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical ability to work around loading and unloading equipment.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime during peak harvest and processing seasons.
Preferred
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one.
- Forklift operating experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Agricultural, grain handling, seed production, or warehouse experience.
