Job description


This is a hybrid position requiring an on-site presence 3 to 4 days per week. Please note that the number of days on-site can increase based on business needs

Summary:

The Functional Analyst collaborates with Product Owner/Platform Owner and team to deliver user stories focused on configuring package software or performing other technical tasks in a timely manner and as per set quality standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates effectively with the agile team to configure package software when applicable Supports the team in executing highly technical tasks according to the specific needs of stories during each iteration

  • Ensures design and development standards are being followed to minimize rework; promotes only quality-tested code and does it regularly

  • Participates in the daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to update progress, highlight and resolve impediments

  • Gather and document business requirements for new trading partner onboarding and B2B integration projects

  • Configure EDI transactions sets (850, 855, 856, 810, 820, 997, etc.)

  • Serve as functional lead on middleware platforms (SEEBURGER) for configuration, testing, and issue resolution

  • Support root-cause analysis of EDI/B2B transaction errors and drive resolution with internal and external stakeholders

  • Draft and maintain trading partner onboarding documentation, including partner profiles, mapping specifications, and communication protocol setups (AS2, sFTP, HTTPS)

  • Maintain documentation of integration architecture, partner configurations, and standard operating procedures

  • Define potential improvement changes to resolve errors, prevent the recurrence of problems or improve system maintainability and stability

  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for developers and integration engineers

  • Coordinate with trading partners to validate mapping specs, troubleshoot transaction failures, and support go-live testing

  • Provide functional analysis for the domain/software related to Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Provide SME around product(s) function and works with Product Owner and Business Partners to refine requirements/functionality

  • Provide production support during non-business hours (team rotating schedule)

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced working environment.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent


Mandatory Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience.

  • Basic knowledge of continuous integration / continuous delivery practice


Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience with EDI standards (X12 and/or EDIFACT) and B2B integration processes

  • Working knowledge of trading partner communication protocols (AS2, sFTP, FTP/S, HTTPS)

  • Experience with one or more B2B/EDI middleware platforms (IBM Sterling, SEEBURGER, TIBCO, Axway, or similar)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into functional and technical specifications

  • Experience writing clear onboarding documentation, mapping guides, and process runbooks

  • Excellent communication skills – comfortable working directly with external trading partners and internal cross‑functional teams
