Driver

On-Call Pay Rate $24/hr

The driver is responsible for transporting residents to and from appointments and outings using the community vehicles, which may include bus, van, limousine, sedan and trams. This position ensures residents receive all appropriate assistance during outings. Driver fulfills all operational tasks involving driving.

Qualifications
  • Qualified applicants are required to possess a minimum 6 months of experience as a bus/van driver.
  • Must possess a valid and current driver's license for vehicle class driven at time of hire.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required or must be willing and able to become CPR and First Aid certified.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must possess and maintain a clean DMV driving record.
  • Knowledge of the surrounding neighborhood area.
  • Excellent communication skills, patience and the ability to deal with stress and the needs of older adults.
  • Ability to use a client and customer-focused approach to problem solving and goal setting.
  • Must be sensitive to the needs of older adults.
