Location: Toronto, ON (On-Site)
Schedule: 8 to 12-hour shifts (Continental, Rotating Shifts)
Pay Rate: $18.40 - $22.16/hour

Overview

Paladin Security is hiring Security Guard professionals to support client sites across the Greater Toronto Area. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in a fast-paced and growing industry while developing skills that support future career growth. Successful candidates will provide strong customer service, remain calm under pressure, and maintain a high level of professionalism while supporting safety, patrol operations, and emergency response.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the property remains safe by confirming security measures are functioning properly
  • Assist visitors and employees during crisis situations and contact emergency services when required
  • Conduct proactive interior and exterior patrols and address policy breaches and facility concerns
  • Respond to security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
  • De-escalate crisis situations and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire, and paramedics
  • Handle Lost & Found items and related inquiries
  • Provide first aid and medical response when required
  • Maintain positive working relationships with client staff and external visitors by providing timely support
  • Complete duties assigned by the Security Leadership team and follow client direction as needed

Requirements

  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • Proof of two (2) doses of the COVID-19 vaccine
  • English fluency (oral and written)
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
    • Applicants without these certifications may enroll in Paladin's UOF/MOAB certification program prior to onboarding
    • Training costs are covered by Paladin with a 6-month commitment (training time is unpaid)
  • Authorized to legally work in Canada
