Job description

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is in search of a Security Professional to join our team! The Security Professional will perform a variety of general security tasks including responding to security events, assisting staff with potentially aggressive behaviors of patients/visitors, and covering campus security in all hospital buildings. 

This position is Per Diem (FT/PT available).

Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts available across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem needs. Please consider applying to discuss how your availability may align.

Compensation: $24-26/hour.

The posted salary range reflects compensation for candidates with limited experience. An offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market data. An offer of employment may be outside of the posted range based on those factors.


  • Respond to calls for security assistance
  • Respond to all emergency situations (i.e. Codes Blue, Green, Pink, Red, and Active Shooter)
  • Monitor security camera system. door access, and parking surveillance 
  • Maintain a presence at high-risk, highly-traficked locations.
  • Patrol the perimeter of Mansfield Orthopaedics, Demars Building, Tractor Shed, Health Center Building, and through the parking lots around the Hospital
  • Provide staff with escort to their vehicles as requested
  • Respond to access lock-out situations
  • Check Facilities monitoring systems for medical gas, fire panel, panic alarm system, boiler room, emergency generator, and building management
  • Clear snow & treat doorway entrances.

Education Requirements

High School or vocational school graduate.

License/Certification Requirements

Valid driver's license.

Obtaining IAHSS (International Associate for Healthcare Security and Safety) certification within 3 months of hire.

Experience Desired

Some experience in hospital, school, or institutional setting.

Previous security or law enforcement experience.
