Johnson Security Bureau, Inc. is seeking to add a dedicated Security Officer to our team.
Position: Security Officer
Location: New York City, NY
Work Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Employment Opportunity Available
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Experience: 2 years security experience
Shifts Available:
  • Morning - Times will vary
  • Afternoon - Times will vary
  • Overnight - Times will vary

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor premises through regular patrols to ensure safety and security
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification and directing visitors if needed
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity and ensure order
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, and alarms, contacting emergency services when necessary
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security breaches
  • Operate and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and fire alarm panels
  • Provide assistance, information, and directions to visitors and staff in a professional manner
  • Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and documentation as required
  • Collaborate with team members and follow established security procedures and protocols

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of security experience preferred
  • Valid New York State State Security Guard License
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and security systems
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, evenings, and overnight shifts
