Job description

Town Pump is looking for motivated and outgoing individuals for Store Security to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with ever increasing opportunities for career growth.
As a Store Security team member, you will:
  • be responsible for the safety and security of the property including customers and employees.
  • perform regular safety checks of the property in accordance with established procedures.
  • handle customer problems and complaints while providing exceptional customer service.
  • maintain a close working relationship with the manager.
  • report for duty well-groomed and wearing appropriate uniform, be well rested and alert to maintain a high degree of awareness, and perform security checks/rounds approximately once every hour.
  • vary the entrances that you use and the route and direction that you take during your rounds. Do not be predictable. Check that all entrances are secure every time you make a round.
  • pay close attention to the parking lot during exterior rounds, as well as the surrounding areas. Watch for signs of theft or vandalism to cars or the building. Do not be afraid to ask questions of people that you encounter during your shift who look suspicious.
  • complete an incident report immediately for all emergencies, injuries, or other related events that occur during your shift. Call the manager when you fill out an incident report.
  • turn in all property keys and "sign" them back in prior to leaving the store. The use of handcuffs, pepper spray, or other restraining devices is not permitted.
  • maintain a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record, and perform other duties as assigned by management.
