PalAmerican Security - Transit Security Officer Needed

What you will do

  • Walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Wear body armor, duty belt with handcuffs, baton, radio, flashlight, and first aid kit
  • Engage in high volume face-to-face public interactions
  • Write detailed and accurate reports on incidents
  • Maintain a physical presence as a deterrent to illegal activity
  • Ensure safety and security of site staff and visitors
  • Provide empathetic approach to managing escalated situations
  • Contribute to the overall experience by providing superior customer care

You will be a great fit if you

  • Are at least 21 years of age
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' Security or Military experience
  • Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Are able to provide proof of High School diploma, GED or higher education.
  • Possess a valid Washington State Security License
  • Have effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Enjoy working with the public and providing excellent customer service

*Please note, successful candidates must complete a mandatory 5-day paid training course in Renton

* If you do not have a Washington State Security License, you will be responsible for paying the fees to obtain one. The 2024 SGL costs are $31.05 for fingerprints and $101.00 for the License application. There is also an unpaid mandatory State SGL class that you will be required to complete.
