Job description

The Counter-UAS Emerging Threat & Risk Analysis Team Lead will direct a team responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating evolving unmanned aircraft system (UAS) threats to critical infrastructure and national security. This role involves strategic risk analysis, threat modeling, and coordination with interagency partners to ensure proactive defense against emerging UAS technologies and tactics.


  • Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment: Lead research and analysis of emerging UAS threats, including adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).Develop risk models and vulnerability assessments for critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Maintain and update UAS threat databases and intelligence products.
  • Strategic Planning & Policy Support:Provide recommendations for C-UAS policy development based on threat trends and risk analysis.
  • Support integration of threat intelligence into CISAโ€™s operational planning and national strategies.
  • Contribute to interagency working groups and DHS-led initiatives on UAS risk management.
  • Operational Coordination: Collaborate with federal, state, local, and private sector stakeholders to share threat intelligence and mitigation strategies.
  • Support scenario development and tabletop exercises to test C-UAS response plans.
  • Advise on technology evaluations and interdiction tactics for emerging threats.
  • Reporting & Communication:Prepare detailed threat assessments, risk reports, and executive briefings for senior leadership.
  • Develop metrics and dashboards to track threat evolution and mitigation effectiveness.
  • Must have the ability to communicate accurate information

Required

  • ability to obtain/maintain a Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Intelligence Studies, Homeland Security, Cybersecurity, or related field (Masterโ€™s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in threat analysis, risk assessment, or intelligence operations.
  • Strong understanding of UAS technologies, RF spectrum, and layered defense strategies.

Desired:

  • Experience with DHS/CISA mission areas and interagency coordination.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and UAS detection/interdiction technologies.
  • Prior experience in critical infrastructure protection or counter-terrorism analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
