Job description

Job Summary: The School Safety and Security Team is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and school property. This role involves monitoring school premises, enforcing school policies, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor School Grounds: Patrol school buildings and grounds to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Enforce Policies: Enforce school policies and procedures related to safety and security, including visitor management and student conduct.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and security breaches. Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  • Incident Reporting: Document and report all incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities. Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports.
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections of school facilities and equipment. Identify and address potential safety hazards.
  • Conflict Resolution: Assist in resolving conflicts and de-escalating potentially volatile situations involving students, staff, or visitors.
  • Training and Drills: Participate in and conduct safety drills, including fire drills, lockdown drills, and evacuation procedures. Provide training to staff and students on safety protocols.
  • Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community to promote a culture of safety and security.

Qualifications:
