Role Overview

Mobis North America Electrified Powertrain (MNAe) – Savannah is seeking a qualified Security Team Lead to support the development, execution, and maintenance of the organization's security operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the vendor security team and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Oversee and ensure the effective daily operations of the vendor security team.
  • Support training and development initiatives for vendor security personnel.
  • Assist the Security Specialist in implementing comprehensive security software systems in accordance with organizational plans and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all security services comply with MNAe standards.
  • Monitor and manage security systems, including servicing and maintenance, and oversee access control badge printing and distribution.
  • Contribute to risk assessment processes and communicate findings to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support security-related needs and ensure organizational security objectives are met.
  • Participate in recruitment, performance management, coaching, and development of team members.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Provide daily reports in agreed formats and support strategic planning for team activities.
  • Serve as a role model in professionalism, work ethic, and security expertise.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in security governance.
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality security services.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in security-related software (e.g., CCTV, ACS).
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Security Lead in corporate or industrial environments
  • Military or law enforcement experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or equivalent security certification
  • Prior experience in the security industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Not required, but preferred certifications include:
    • CompTIA Security+
    • Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
    • Physical Security Professional (PSP)
    • Georgia POST certification
  • GA Security Guard License (Armed/Unarmed)

Working Conditions:

  • 10% office-based, 45% indoor security tasks, 45% outdoor security tasks.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and stair climbing.
  • Overtime and on-call availability as needed.
  • Work involves movement between buildings and outdoor areas.
