OVERVIEW
First Coast Security Services is hiring a Security Supervisor to lead security operations at client sites. In this role, you will oversee a team of Security Officers, ensure consistent execution of post orders, and serve as the primary point of contact for site security on your shift. This is a hands-on supervisory position where you will actively perform security duties while providing direction, coaching, and accountability to your team. If you have security experience and are ready to step into a leadership role with a growing company, we want to hear from you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide lead direction to Security Officers and Shift Lead Officers across assigned client site(s), ensuring post orders are followed and rounds are completed.
  • Perform all duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policy.
  • Monitor and report activities, incidents, and security concerns related to client property and personnel.
  • Conduct scheduled site inspections and communicate tasks and responsibilities to subordinate staff.
  • Assist with training of Security Officers, including review and enforcement of post orders.
  • Meet with client representatives as needed to confirm security requirements are being met and maintain quality service.
  • Submit and file incident reports, payroll information, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Coach, counsel, and document employee performance issues in accordance with company policy; make hiring and termination recommendations as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2+ year of security-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid and current state security officer license; all applicable licensing must remain active throughout employment.
  • Knowledge of security operations, supervisory practices, and site safety procedures.
  • Ability to provide clear direction, motivate staff, and manage performance in a professional manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to complete incident reports and logs accurately.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professional conduct in high-pressure or urgent situations.
  • Proficiency in basic computer operations and security monitoring systems.
  • Must pass background check, reference check, drug screening, and any site-specific requirements.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on post for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
