Job Summary/Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for successfully managing assigned projects from their inception to completion. This includes interfacing with customers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and management. Project Managers must be able to determine key milestones and effectively collaborate with internal resources to meet or exceed agreed upon customer expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Responsible for the overall management, reviewing customer specifications, customer meetings, sales calls, scheduling and performance of assigned projects
    Develop and communicate project status and overall schedule for each project including identifying deadlines to internal and external stakeholders
    Ensure project scope is clear and defined throughout the project process
    Coordinate and collaborate with the electrical or mechanical team, when necessary, on team specific function
    Conduct and collaborate with internal and external resources on Factory Acceptance Tests
    Coordinate and collaborate with the electrical or mechanical team, when necessary, on team specific functions
    Ensure designs meet customer specifications and internal expectations prior to releasing from engineering
    Update Enterprise Resource Planning and project management software with project details and status
    Order and coordinate with vendors when necessary equipment is purchased
    Utilize project management software to track projects with detailed notes
    Collaborate with Engineering to answer and complete any issues that may arise post release, with Fabrication, Assembly and Service. 
    Travel for front end visits, installation support, or Factory Acceptance Tests of vendors equipment when required.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities
  • Knowledgeable at reading engineering drawings
  • A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
  • Ability to think abstractly to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Demonstrates product knowledge obtained through experiential hands-on training.  
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
  • 2+ years of project management or related experience
  • CAD experience preferred
