Job description

GC&E Systems Group is seeking an Electronic Security Project Manager II in our Peachtree Corners Office.
Position Overview
GC&E Systems Group is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Project Manager II to independently manage the planning, coordination, and execution of electronic security installation projects. This mid-level PM is responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with GC&E quality standards.
The PM II manages small and medium-sized projects from kickoff through closeout, coordinating technicians, subcontractors, materials, schedules, and customer communication. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical understanding of electronic security systems, and the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and engineered designs.
The PM II demonstrates consistent independence, sound judgment, and the ability to resolve routine project challenges. This role serves as a key operational contributor and is expected to mentor PM I personnel and collaborate closely with senior PMs, Project Coordinators, and Operations leadership.
Essential Job Functions
  • Experience or certifications with the following are a plus:
  • Access control, CCTV, or intrusion detection systems
  • Structured cabling or telecommunications
  • Construction or electrical trades
  • Manufacturer training (Genetec, Software House, Avigilon, Axis, Hanwha Vision, etc.)
  • Basic IP networking concepts (PoE, connectivity, addressing)
  • Exposure to or interest in project management methodologies (PMP, CAPM, Agile fundamentals)
  • Additional preferred skills:
  • Technical College training
  • Experience leading small field teams (e.g., Tech III/IV background)
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Visio, and project scheduling tools
  • Experience with cloud based physical security platforms

Candidate Requirements
  • Experience or certifications with the following are a plus:

  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and multi-trade environments

Additional preferred skills:
  • Technical College training
  • Experience leading field teams as a Technician III/IV
  • Familiarity with low-voltage permitting and inspection processes

Experience: Typically 4-9 years of project management experience in electronic security, structured cabling, or related technical fields
Education: High School, Trade School, or College (Associate/Technical Degree preferred)

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, humidity, etc.).
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and working on ladders or lifts during site visits.
  • Ability to use PPE and work safely around electrical and construction environments.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periods.
