Job Description Job Description: Head of Physical Security Position Overview: The Head of Physical Security is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all physical security strategies and operations across the offices, and facilities. This leadership role ensures the safety of employees, customers, assets, and property by managing security policies, procedures, and teams in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage comprehensive physical security programs for all locations, ensuring protection against theft, vandalism, workplace violence, and other security threats.

Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits; identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions. Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Lead, train, and supervise security personnel, including location security managers and contracted security staff.

Oversee the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of security systems such as alarms, surveillance cameras, access control, and emergency response equipment. Coordinate response to security incidents, investigations, and crisis situations; serve as the primary point of contact for law enforcement and emergency responders. Collaborate with senior management, facilities, IT, and HR to ensure physical security is integrated into overall risk management strategies.

Prepare and present regular reports on security risks, incidents, and program effectiveness to executive leadership. Manage budget, contracts, and vendor relationships related to physical security services and equipment. Drive continuous improvement by staying informed about emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum 7-10 years of experience in physical security, Military or law enforcement background is strongly preferred, reflecting experience in high-security environments and advanced threat response Proven leadership and management skills with experience overseeing multi-site security operations. Expert knowledge of physical security systems, risk assessment methodologies, and emergency response protocols.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities. Certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or PSP (Physical Security Professional) are highly desirable.

Ability to travel regionally as needed. Working Conditions: This position is based at the regional headquarters, with some travel to other locations. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to respond to incidents or oversee special projects.
