JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Electronic Security Project Coordinator leads, coordinates and tracks all electronic security device related projects from conception with contractors, Facilities, Information Resources, and other departments as assigned by immediate supervisor. Serves as the primary electronic security representative for major capital projects and large-scale renovation efforts. Trains and supervises new electronic security project coordinators. Acts as a technical subject matter expert to other project coordinators. 

 Supervisory experience is preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required

  • Education
    Bachelor's Degree in technical field related to building construction and project management or 
    Associate's Degree in technical field related to building construction and project management or 
    High School Diploma or equivalent 
     
  • Experience
    4 years experience in a technical construction environment with Bachelor's degree or 
    6 years experience in a technical construction environment with Associate's degree or 
    8 years experience in a technical construction environment with high school diploma or equivalent and 
    Strong technical knowledge of electronic security systems 
     


JOB DUTIES

  • Leads, coordinates and tracks all electronic security device related projects from conception with contractors, Facilities, Information Resources, and other departments as assigned by immediate supervisor. Serves as the primary electronic security representative for major capital projects and large-scale renovation efforts.
  • Attends scheduled project planning meetings where determinations are made regarding project objectives, plans and scope.
  • Leads the identification, validation, and refinement of electronic security requirements for complex projects.
  • Makes recommendations regarding electronic security device implementation for all construction projects and renovations.
  • Reviews floorplans and work with customers and architects during project conception and prior to Issued for Construction (IFC) to ensure electronic security infrastructure requirements are captured.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of small to medium sized projects, acting as the internal project manager for electronic security scopes of work.
  • Performs site visits to projects to ensure project scope and design is followed.
  • Proactively communicates project requirements to project team and wider organization and maintains accurate, up to date records of job status, job changes and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports
  • Identifies and resolves complex issues and conflicts within the project team in collaboration with direct supervisor.
  • Works with leadership in the development of best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Identifies potential project risks and develops/implements strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
  • Trains new electronic security project coordinators. Acts as a technical subject matter expert to other project coordinators.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
