About This Role

This is a multi-faceted security position, responsible for the day-to-day oversight of security compliance for both collateral and special program portfolios, as well as providing onsite support to the information security team. The incumbent will ensure that program activities adhere to 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DoDM 5205.07, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and all other applicable government regulations.

This role requires a seasoned security professional with deep expertise across all industrial security disciplines. The incumbent must be a strategic thinker who can exercise independent judgment to manage risks, deliver security training, and align security solutions with business needs. The individual will collaborate with customers, colleagues, and sponsors to meet objectives while ensuring Textron Systems' security program remains effective, compliant with all applicable government standards, and aligned with corporate security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily security operations and ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).

  • Oversee access control to the main facility as well as the compartmented areas within.

  • Establish and implement Standard Practice Procedures/Standard Operating Procedures as necessary for each secure environment.

  • Implement security education, training, and awareness for staff operating in each space, covering topics that include facility security, classification management, reporting requirements, and security best-practices.

  • Serve as the appointed AFSO/FSO and ACSSO, as necessary.

  • Conduct all required compliance inspections including annual self-inspections and security alarm response tests.

  • Implement classified material control systems to track the creation, disposition, and destruction of classified and/or sensitive material.

  • Maintain DD-254s, accreditation letters, 701/702s, DD147s, and facility access lists.

  • Provide security support for meetings and discussions with customers and government representatives.

  • Interpret program requirements and apply them consistently across the secure environments.

  • Maintain data compliance in DISS, NISS, JADE, SIMS and other systems of record.

  • Provide support to other business unit security programs as needed.

  • Be prepared to support off-hours program activity should the need arise.

  • Maintain knowledge of the security requirements for classified Information Systems.

  • Perform basic information system support functions, including system troubleshooting, verifying, and hardware auditing.

  • Coordinate with Information Assurance personnel to assist with onsite system configuration. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years work experience.

  • Must have final DoD Top Secret clearance.

  • Prior experience as an FSO/AFSO, as well as a CSSO/ACSSO.

  • In-depth knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability to successfully implement NISPOM/32 CFR Part 117, DoDM 5205.07, and other mission requirements in a complex environment with multiple customers.

  • Must possess practical knowledge and experience with DISS, NISS, NBIS, JADE, SIMS, and e-QIP.

  • Must have extensive experience with personnel security, classified material control, and visitor control.

  • Completed DCSA Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) FSO certification.

  • Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Ability to effectively manage ambiguity and to multi-task on a variety of initiatives.

  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven.

  • Impeccable Ethics & Integrity and the ability to maintain regulatory compliance while supporting the mission.

  • Must demonstrate professionalism, independent engagement, and collaboration with peers and external personnel.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
