What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions needing attention.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and other assigned areas to help manage access, assist with directions, and support a professional environment for patients and visitors.
  • Support Allied Universal and site personnel during medical emergencies, alarms, and/or urgent situations by following post orders and relaying information to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
