Job description

Abacus Technology is seeking a Program Manager to lead and oversee a team of technical professionals providing support for an enterprise program based at Scott AFB.  This is a full-time position.


  • Oversee and lead a team of technical staff providing support for an enterprise IT program across multiple locations.
  • Serve as the primary government point of contact, providing technical supervision and strategic direction for all contractor personnel.
  • Develop project plans and schedules, manage risk, track and report on performance metrics, and support and management process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the COR and government stakeholders to monitor contract performance and support evolving mission needs.
  • Provide Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Monthly Status Reports (MSRs), and ad-hoc briefings to Abacus management and government stakeholders.
  • Support the production environment by adhering to Government standards and ensure the production configuration baseline(s) of all hardware and software is maintained as prescribed by the network’s production configuration baselines.

10+ years experience in a project or program management role.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Must be PMP certified.  Must have strong practical experience in project management, gained through managing complex, technical projects.  Experience developing and applying technical and management processes.  Experience developing and managing projects within assigned budgets.  Experience in strategic planning.  Experience and ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information, make sound judgments concerning program progress and effectively communicate recommendations orally and in writing to the government.  Must have strong communication skills.  Able to organize, prepare and discuss concepts and technical issues in an appropriate manner with senior-level staff.  Knowledge of government budgeting and resource allocation procedures; and the ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.  Experience with MS Office and Project.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.
