Job Skills / Requirements

$150.00 New Hire Bonus after 60 days full time .

$100.00 New Hire Bonus after 90 days part time .

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Patrols and monitors an assigned area; report suspicious activities and document all suspicious activity;

  • Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property;

  • Access control at the gate for students, staff, and guests

  • Communicate with emergency personnel if needed;

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail;

  • Possess written and verbal communication skills;

  • Ability to deal with patients in a courteous manner;

  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations;

  • Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings;

  • Ability to communicate using a phone or hand held radios;

Education and Experience:

  • Unarmed officers must have Act 67;

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred;

  • Previous experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Walking - Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly;

  • Prolonged periods standing and observing the property surroundings;

  • Have the ability to twist and bend at the waist frequently;

Ideal candidates meeting basic requirements for the position must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age;

  • Have a high school diploma, GED, or 10 years of verifiable work experience;

  • Must pass a Criminal history check, employment verification and references, registered sex-offender search, and drivers license validation;

  • Be drug free and able to pass a drug screen (unless undergoing documented medical treatment);

  • Be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.

  • Be able to communicate effectively both written and orally for the purpose of report writing.

  • Be able to interact with a courteous manner with all public and emergency personnel;

  • Be authorized to work in the U.S.;

  • Be able to meet state licensing requirements for Security Officers, if required.
