Job Description

Position Summary

The Security Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily security operations, supervising security personnel, ensuring compliance with company and client requirements, and maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service. This position provides leadership and support to security officers and serves as a key point of contact between field personnel, clients, dispatch, and management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage assigned security officers and field personnel.
  • Ensure all assigned posts are properly staffed and operational.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify officers are performing their duties.
  • Ensure officers follow company policies, client post orders, and security procedures.
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, uniforms, equipment, and overall officer performance.
  • Respond to employee call-offs, staffing shortages, and emergency coverage needs.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to fill vacant posts and maintain adequate coverage.
  • Train, coach, and mentor security officers to improve performance and professionalism.
  • Conduct inspections and document deficiencies or violations.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, complaints, and client concerns as needed.
  • Review incident reports, daily activity reports, and other operational documentation for accuracy.
  • Investigate employee and client complaints and provide recommendations to management.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and address operational concerns promptly.
  • Communicate operational updates, staffing issues, and significant incidents to management.
  • Assist with scheduling, personnel assignments, and staffing requirements.
  • Conduct post-order reviews and ensure officers understand site-specific responsibilities.
  • Ensure company vehicles, radios, uniforms, and other security equipment are properly maintained and accounted for.
  • Assist with employee disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations as requested.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company, employee, client, and security-related information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Security Supervisor, Field Supervisor, Site Supervisor, or Operations Supervisor.
  • Experience managing multiple security sites or a large security workforce.
  • Experience with scheduling and workforce management.
  • Experience conducting security inspections and investigations.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Experience with access control, CCTV, alarm systems, and security technology.
  • Previous experience working with commercial, residential, industrial, or high-security clients.
