Job description

Job Title: Alcohol Compliance Representative


Department: Operations / Guest Services
Reports To: Event Food & Beverage Operations/ Office Manager or Compliance Manager

Position Summary

The Alcohol Compliance Representative is responsible for ensuring all alcohol service at the event venue complies with local, state, and federal laws, as well as venue policies. This role promotes safe, responsible alcohol consumption, verifies legal drinking age, and supports staff in maintaining compliance standards during events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Monitoring

    • Monitor alcohol service areas (bars, concessions, VIP areas) to ensure adherence to all applicable alcohol laws and regulations.
    • Ensure all staff follow Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) guidelines.
    • Identify and address violations of alcohol service policies promptly.
  • Age Verification

    • Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
    • Ensure proper wristbanding or marking systems are in place for age-restricted access areas.
    • Detect and confiscate fake or invalid IDs in accordance with venue policies.
  • Staff Support & Training

    • Assist in training staff on alcohol compliance and safe service procedures.
    • Reinforce best practices for identifying intoxicated guests and handling difficult situations.
    • Provide guidance to bartenders and servers on compliance-related issues during events.
  • Guest Safety & Intervention

    • Monitor guest behavior for signs of intoxication.
