Mon-Fri (11pm-7am)
$15.04-$16.00/Hr.
Role: An Armed Campus Security Officer ensures a safe environment for clients, employees, and visitors by enforcing security policies. This role requires carrying a firearm and responding to threats with sound judgment and professionalism. Key responsibilities include conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance, verifying access, and responding to incidents such as alarms and emergencies. Officers maintain detailed logs, communicate with law enforcement when needed, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a strong security presence. This position demands alertness, integrity, and composure under pressure. Officers must be licensed, trained in firearm safety, and comply with all applicable regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a valid ASRB License in Alabama.
  • Valid driver's license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company approved driver standards.
  • Must be 21+ years old.
  • Must pass Armed training and hold a valid pistol permit.
  • Must be willing to participate in non-lethal weapons certification.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Security Operations
  • Perform regular patrols to enhance safety and identify security concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify IDs and credentials.
  • Enforce procedures per Security Post Instructions.
Incident Response & Reporting
  • Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol.
  • Maintain accurate logs of activities and observations.
  • Execute routine tasks: locking/unlocking doors, managing security systems, and monitoring surveillance.
Customer Service & Professionalism
  • Assist visitors and employees, addressing concerns professionally.
  • Enforce SEI and Client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking).
  • Maintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Minimum Required:
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Strong situational awareness and curiosity.
  • Ability to stay calm and problem-solve in critical situations.
  • Basic computer skills; able to use a tablet for reporting.
