Job Summary

DSI Security Services is seeking an experienced and dynamic Security Operations Manager to support the HH Health System throughout North Alabama.

This leadership position oversees security operations across multiple healthcare facilities, ensuring the safety of patients, visitors, employees, and property while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. The Security Operations Manager will lead a team of Security Supervisors and Security Officers, partner closely with hospital leadership, and ensure compliance with healthcare security best practices and DSI operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily security operations across assigned Huntsville Hospital Health System facilities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between DSI leadership and hospital administration.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Security Supervisors and Security Officers to ensure exceptional performance and professional growth.
  • Ensure all security personnel maintain compliance with DSI policies, post orders, and healthcare security standards.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, payroll review, and coverage planning to ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality assurance audits, and performance evaluations.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, employee concerns, and client requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and retention efforts.
  • Monitor operational metrics and develop action plans to improve performance, reduce overtime, and increase employee engagement.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of incidents, investigations, personnel actions, and operational activities.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, customer service, and safety.
Preferred Experience
  • Healthcare security experience.
  • IAHSS certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience managing contract security operations.
  • Experience with employee coaching, performance management, and client relationship management.
