JOB SUMMARY

Exciting opportunity to work at Ocean Downs Casino only 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches and boardwalk of Ocean City, MD! Work with an awesome overnight team while ensuring a good time for our guests.  This is a full time, year around position on swing shift with an excellent compensation package. The annual pay for this position is $43,888.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serves as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication. 
  • Acts as a role model and coaches while developing employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations. 
  • Conducts interviews with employee candidates.
  • Recommends, documents and issues discipline as necessary.
  • Responsible for supervision, evaluation and training of staff.
  • Complies with State Lottery Regulations, Internal Controls and company Policies & Procedures.
  • Responsible for overseeing security operations as assigned.
  • Responsible for maintaining assigned employee files.
  • Knowledge of Local, State, and Federal Safety Regulations.
  • Supervises and conducts investigations as requested.
  • Reviews and approves all reports submitted by uniformed officers.
  • Knowledge of fire and safety equipment to assist in emergency situations.
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations.
  • Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming Establishment employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Two (2) to Three (3) years security experience (gaming security preferred).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to sit, walk or stand for extended periods of time without difficulty.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
