About the Role
As a Tier II SOC Analyst, youโ€™ll be at the core of the employerโ€™s MDR service delivery, analyzing escalated alerts, conducting threat hunting, and guiding clients through containment and remediation. Youโ€™ll also mentor Tier I analysts, help refine playbooks, and work closely with threat intelligence and incident response teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Triage and analyze escalated security incidents using SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS tools
  • Perform proactive threat hunting across client environments
  • Collaborate with incident response teams to contain and eradicate threats
  • Develop and refine runbooks/playbooks for SOC operations
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Tier I analysts
  • Prepare incident reports and present findings to client executives

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-5 years SOC experience (MDR, MSSP, or in-house)
  • Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar)
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • Certifications (e.g., Security+, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP) desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client engagement
