Location: Richmond, VA (Monument Office)
Schedule: Friday and Saturday, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM
Compensation: $27.10-$31.88 per hour* + shift differential

The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) serves as the organization's 24/7 hub for monitoring the safety and security of personnel, facilities, and operations worldwide. As a Global Security Operations Monitor, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for real-time monitoring, incident response, emergency communications, and threat awareness.

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong analytical skills, and can remain calm and focused during critical situations. Working overnight, you will help support global operations by identifying risks, responding to alerts, and ensuring timely communication during security-related events.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor communications dashboards for emergency alerts, SOS notifications, and incident reports.
  • Serve as a first-line responder and dispatcher for global security incidents.
  • Track personnel locations and provide real-time support during security events.
  • Escalate incidents and communicate critical information to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Monitor global news, social media, and open-source intelligence for emerging threats and security concerns.
  • Identify and assess adverse events that may impact personnel or operations worldwide
  • Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents and activities.
  • Prepare detailed shift summaries and incident reports.
  • Analyze reported information and document emerging trends and operational impacts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Studies, Communications, Security, Criminal Justice, or a related field, preferred
  • Experience conducting research, risk assessments, or security analysis.
  • Previous experience in: Security Operations Centers (SOC/GSOC), Emergency dispatch, Emergency management, public safety communications, Intelligence analysis and/or Crisis monitoring or response environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with internet research, mapping tools, and social media monitoring.
  • Ability to analyze information and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong customer service mindset and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable, accountable, and able to work independently during overnight hours.
