Position Description
These Tier I level analysts will act as a core member of the NSOC (Network Security Operations Center) team, contributing to overall operational readiness and support a 24/7 shift schedule. Interested candidates must be willing to take on other shifts
Description of Duties:
  1. Support a 24/7 schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  2. Provide proactive, on-site monitoring and response for mission-essential communication sites and information systems.
  3. Classify, prioritize, and escalate alerts promptly to ensure timely resolution.
  4. Follow established procedures for data collection, triage, analysis, classification, and escalation to meet performance targets.
  5. Capture, log, respond and escalate events from email, chat, voice, and other systems with accurate documentation.
  6. Collect and analyze technical data to classify events, distinguish valid issues from false positives, and maintain triage accuracy standards.
  7. Work with team members to develop and refine playbooks, dashboards, metrics, and detection strategies.
  8. Coordinate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of incidents and recommended response actions.
  9. Provide support during network and security incidents, assisting with resolution efforts as directed.
