This role will report to the Global Head of Security and will be responsible for executive protection as well as supporting the oversight of the local/regional implementation and maintenance of Global Safety & Security programs at Apollo Global Management. This includes physical security, operations protocols, workplace safety related awareness/training programs, security vendor management, systems evaluation, law enforcement liaison, events security support, crisis management and elements of emergency preparedness and business resilience program implementation. This position will be based in New York and covers all of 29 AGMs global locations.

NY Security Professional - Executive Protection/Access Control/Camera System Related /Investigations

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the direction and development of the physical security infrastructure, including access control platforms and CCTV. Coordinate with security integrators

  • Manage, and partner with all functional area (s) and departments, including IT and Facilities, to upgrade, update, monitor and seamlessly integrate security infrastructure

  • Plan and manage critical security infrastructure designs for all construction projects ensuring proper alignment with regulatory requirements and in line with best standards

  • Manage and monitor expenses related to security vendors and execute budget analysis for all construction projects and security operations

  • Attend weekly project meetings as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams, as needed

  • Develop, implement, and update Physical Security policies, protocols, and procedures in line with the firm's needs

  • Analyze and evaluate security operations to identify risks or opportunities for improvement; identify, investigate, and resolve security breaches or incidents

  • Lead and manage executive protection operations for senior leadership, ensuring their safety during travel, public appearances, and day-to-day activities.

  • Conduct threat assessments and route planning for executive movements, including coordination with external agencies and local law enforcement when necessary.

  • Develop and maintain executive protection protocols, including emergency response procedures and contingency planning.

  • Oversee the vetting and training of executive protection personnel, ensuring alignment with firm standards and discretion.

  • Coordinate logistics and security arrangements for high-profile events, board meetings, and off-site engagements involving executives.

  • Monitor intelligence feeds and global risk indicators to proactively adjust executive protection strategies.

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information related to executive movements and security concerns.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure executive protection aligns with broader physical and cyber security initiatives.

  • Oversee the monitoring the maintenance of access control systems and CCTV to ensure efficiency in effective risk monitoring

  • Manage 24x7x365 global security operations center located in Mumbai

  • Remain informed about the latest security technologies, trends and regulatory requirements and make recommendations for security program enhancements

  • Investigate security breaches, incidents and violations, document findings and implement corrective actions

  • Develop universal emergency action plans for all locations. Ensure warden listings are monitored and updated on a quarterly basis

  • Drive strategic initiatives related to physical security including policy development and partnering with Cyber Security and Internal Audit on firm-wide programs

  • Manage administrative tasks associated with security operations

  • Assist Human Capital & Legal in investigations and sensitive matters

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum 8+ years of security experience

  • Must have prior experience working in a corporate, in-office environment, with a strong understanding of professional workplace dynamics and executive-level protocols

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rigorous work environment; demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands

  • HR-218, armed guard or security guard license strongly preferred

  • High- level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality of information when required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Ability to Travel as required

  • Available outside of normal business hours and weekends as needed

Pay Range

$140,000 - $205,000
