We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead and maintain our industrial security program in support of classified and controlled defense programs. This critical role serves as the primary security liaison between our organization and U.S. Government security agencies, ensuring full compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), DoD regulations, and Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) security requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary Facility Security Officer responsible for the company's overall security posture
  • Administer and maintain the NISP in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM)
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and annual refresher training for cleared personnel
  • Manage AA&E security programs in compliance with DoD and ATF requirements
  • Implement and oversee security controls for SRC I-IV, with working knowledge of SRC III facilities
  • Ensure proper physical security, storage, access controls, and accountability of AA&E
  • Conduct and document risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and mitigation plans
  • Ensure compliance with DoD 5100.76-M, ATF regulations, and contract-specific security directives
  • Manage personnel security processes including DISS access, clearance submissions, visit authorizations, and indoctrinations
  • Process and track security clearances, access eligibility, and need-to-know determinations
  • Coordinate classified visits and maintain accurate visitor access records
  • Oversee classified storage areas, vaults, alarms, containers, and access systems
  • Conduct self-inspections, internal audits, and corrective action tracking
  • Ensure proper marking, handling, safeguarding, and destruction of classified and controlled information
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for DCSA, DoD, and program security offices
  • Support classified contracts, DD254s, and program security plans
  • Participate in security reviews, inspections, and investigations
  • Provide trusted security guidance to leadership, program teams, and subcontractors

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Facility Security Officer or Industrial Security professional
  • Active DoD Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience managing AA&E security programs and SRC compliance
  • Strong working knowledge of NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117)
  • Experience with DoD AA&E physical security requirements
  • Proficiency with DISS/JPAS, eQIP, and security record management systems
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex security regulations
  • U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting defense contractors or DoD programs
  • Prior involvement in DCSA inspections and audits
  • Knowledge of DoD 5100.76-M and ATF regulatory requirements
  • Experience supporting classified contracts involving AA&E or sensitive weapon systems
  • Completion of DCSA FSO Program Management training or certifications
