Job description


As a Security Offcer, you are responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and controlled environment for residents, visitors, clients, and staff. You will monitor premises, enforce policies, and respond to incidents while providing professional and courteous service at all times.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security of the premises.
  • Control access points and verify identification of residents, visitors, and vendors.
  • Prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security risks.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
  • Write detailed daily activity logs and incident reports.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or unsafe conditions.
  • Enforce property rules, regulations, and post orders.
  • Provide assistance and directions to residents, guests, and visitors.
  • Maintain communication with management, staff, and emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the property and report maintenance or safety issues.
  • Ensure all safety procedures and emergency protocols are followed.
  • De-escalate conflicts and handle situations in a professional manner.
  • Remain alert and attentive at all times while on duty.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in security or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid SORA license (NJ) or ability to obtain required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies
