Schedule: Saturday-Sunday 11:00pm-7:00am OR Sat-Sun 7am-3pm, Mon-Tues 3pm-11pm
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Unarmed Security Guard to join our team at our client's site in Los Banos, CA. The security guard will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and the facilities. This role will mainly consist of vehicle patrol. Please do not apply if you do not have a valid DL.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol in vehicle the premises regularly to ensure the security of the site.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms or calls for assistance.
- Warn violators of rule infractions, such as trespassing or loitering, and apprehend or evict them from the premises if necessary.
- Report any security breaches, safety hazards, or unusual incidents.
- Provide assistance to employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conduct periodic checks of equipment and systems such as lighting, gates, and fences to ensure they are operational and secure.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies if needed.
- Maintain accurate records and write detailed incident reports.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and may be required to submit a copy of their driving record.
- Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position preferred.
- Valid BSIS Guard Card
- Ability to operate security equipment such as surveillance cameras and alarms.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Physical ability to patrol the premises on foot and respond to incidents quickly.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED is a plus.
- Prior experience in security for industrial sites or solar farms.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, and occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 50 lbs.
