This position combines security dispatch operations and active patrol duties. Security Officer Positions:
  • Rover: Foot patrol officers are responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc.
  • Dispatch: The SOC Operator is responsible for monitoring security systems, coordinating emergencies, compiling daily reports, replying to email and phone inquiries and general workplace duties, as needed. The candidate needs to be comfortable in a fast-paced, growing environment. Superior communication and multi-tasking skills are strongly desired. A professional yet approachable personality, who can make sound decisions through training with limited supervision, will excel in our environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespasser or violators from premises when deemed necessary
  • Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
  • Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor's arrival
  • Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
  • Monitor and or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
  • Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
  • Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
  • Respond to calls of distress, alarms and or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
  • Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
  • Ensures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
  • Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
  • Other duties to be determined by management
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • TN Guard Card preferred, or the ability to obtain a TN Guard Card.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Minimum of one year of customer service or security service experience
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
  • This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time
