Job Summary:
The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, and property at Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa. This position requires vigilance, professionalism, and a guest-first attitude while monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, and supporting a secure and welcoming resort environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol resort property regularly, including guest areas, back-of-house, parking lots, and beaches
  • Monitor security systems and access control points
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, including medical, fire, theft, or disturbances
  • Document all incidents and prepare accurate security reports
  • Escort guests or staff when needed to ensure safety
  • Enforce property policies, including noise, alcohol, and visitor protocols
  • Assist in crowd control during events and busy periods
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as necessary
  • Support lost-and-found operations and guest inquiries related to safety

Qualifications:
  • Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
  • NYS Security Guard License required (or willingness to obtain)
  • CPR/First Aid certification a plus
