Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol in Bozeman, MT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This role offers the chance to support a welcoming environment while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, caring, and integrity in every interaction.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards according to site procedures.
  • Support retail loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with incident response, and communicating with local authorities and/or emergency personnel when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
