Job description

Security Technician

Are you a highly motivated individual with strong attentionto detail and accuracy? Do you take an interest in technology and securitysystems? Are you results-driven? Apply to join our team as a SecurityTechnician! You'll work for a growing, family-owned company that has beenserving Canadians with locally based service for over 100 years.


The Role

  • Troubleshoot and repair of a wide variety of security equipment such as alarm systems, CCTV, access control, intercoms, gates, and computer networks
  • Install new systems and upgrades with accuracy to meet client needs and expectations
  • Uphold company and industry standards for quality and within recognized guidelines
  • Resolve client concerns and provide exceptional customer service, making recommendations where appropriate to ensure optimal system function
  • Maintain accurate service records, including detailed notes and inventory
  • Work at heights on ladders and lifts, in attics and crawl spaces, as well as lift 50+ lbs
  • Ability to work safely in a construction site environment is a must

Qualifications

 

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the security industry, with in-depth knowledge of IP Cameras, access Control and Intrusion systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install equipment is required
  • Comfort with working at heights on ladders and lifts, in attics and crawl spaces, as well as to lift 50+ lbs
  • Ability to work safely in a construction site environment is a must
  • High degree of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Motivated self-starter and effective team player
  • Must have a clean criminal record, and a valid Driver's license
